Buildings & Energy

My interest in building science began with the practical problem of owning an older house. Every improvement affected something else: air sealing changed ventilation needs, insulation raised moisture questions, cooling exposed pressure and airflow problems, and restoration decisions had to respect both durability and the existing structure.
